Allow me to get this party started.

I am a man.
Prone to weakness.
But I am a worshiper of the Cow.
Where weakness is lame.
I will crush my weakness.
With the weight of my pride.

Why not do this somewhere more suitable?

Take your pick.

Lies, lies, lies
Can you write it in red
Your words are poison in my head...

I'll never be able to listen to "One" anymore, without hearing these lyrics.

"When searching for inspiration it is better to look up rather than down; the former leads to aspiration, the latter to ambition" --Marcus Aurelius

The above is a paraphrase...I can't recall the exact wording. I said it to a friend recently and he couldn't understand what it meant even after my explanation of my understanding of its meaning.

I think it's okay to succeed and to even display that success to the world.

It all depends on one's motivation. Are you doing it to "fit in"? By that I mean, is that suit your work uniform that is, in a sense, required by your job, or does it only come out on Friday night, when you go to that stupid nightclub to make strangers jealous and trick girls into fucking you?

Do you have a 4x4 because you work in the wilderness or is it only to feel powerful?

Do you collect watches because you truly admire their aesthetic and mechanical design or is it because you feel they are status symbols that will alert your waiter with how much respect a person of your now obvious social standing must be paid?

Do you wear a "Fauxhawk"?:
One of those silly wannabe fake mohawks poser-kids wear these days so they can look nice and respectable for their banking job during the day then glue up into a greasy little cowlick at night when they want to feel like they're letting their "true" punk side free.
"I am not the republican party. I am a libertarian conservative. Also, its not when people are "railing" on conservatives that I come on here. Its when I see stupid things that require smiting. I am being nice to you, get it? Im telling you the correct perspective so that you can see the error in your views, and so that you may reform and become better."

I had read about the trampeling death at the Wal-mart this morning on boingboing.

Has anyone heard more about the toys r us shooting? They're still trying to figure out if it was gang-related or was, in fact, as one witness claimed merely over a toy.

Happy holidays!

I tend to hide my shiny toys... like my sidekick/iPod/any other desirable "piece" I own. I typically even tuck my necklace (which is just an extremely modest silver chain). I personally truly admire my various belongings for the way they work and appreciate how, at times, they make my life extremely convenient.

On that same note though, some may say because of the neighborhood I grew up in that it is just a safety precaution... but when a friend asks my why I don't wear my "hiptop" on my hip... I simply reply by insinuating that while having a mobile device that basically puts my Gmail account and Wikipedia in my pants is practical, it wouldn't do to have people gawking at my waist because of the LED strobe frenzy that ensues when someone signs off of an instant messaging client.

I grew up being mildly jealous and irritated of people who flaunted such niceties and saw it as a method of drawing attention away from their character flaws by masking them with things people really don't "need" to operate.

No one wants to be "that guy".

I really like where Trammel pointed this thread. However, to keep with the original theme...

Потеряно в переводе. Положите бутылку вниз, Paulencio.
When things get really bad...when it seems like all of the world is against me...when I think I can't face even one more minute of one more day...I suddenly realize that I always have the option of not wearing any pants.

Yeah, especially when I come home from work and find stuff like this on my PC:

Yes. That's so beautiful.

Is that a night time shot or day time?

That purple hue is so appropriate is it an "in camera" effect? Completly different look than infrared film gives.

Really good image.

That graphic is fucking rad.

For Trammel
Posted Image

It's not as cool as the other one. However, I can say that A ) it is 100% original, no photoshop or effects, and B ) taken with a cell phone.

It's a picture of what I see every morning before I go to bed.

Pictures from my adventure taken this past weekend can be found here.
